The Belgian Blue is a large sized animal with rounded outline and prominent muscles. The shoulder, back, loin and rump are heavily muscled.<\/p>\n

The muscle is a natural development for the breed. They are not born with that extreme muscle, but start developing that muscle at 4 to 6 weeks old.<\/p>\n

Belgian Blue Beef is famous for its impressive muscling which is commonly referred to as “double muscling”. Belgian Blue Beef outclasses all other beef breed in carcass yield (up to 80%)<\/p>\n

The Average Daily Weight Gain (DWG) for bulls aged between 7 to 13 months is 1.6 \/ 1.7 kg \/ day. and reaches 2 kg \/ day on its peak period<\/p>\n

The average slaughter yield of culards animals is at least 70%. With a carcass meat yield of more than 80%, these animals provide, for example, live weight 600 kg, about 100 kg of meat more than subjects with 60% slaughter yield.<\/p>\n\n\n
